Skilled in Truck Driving, Waste Services or looking to get a start?
Play a vital role in ensuring a quality waste collection and disposal service for the City of Canning and providing friendly customer service to the City’s residents and customers.
Guided by a supportive supervisor and leadership team, we will train and assist you along every step of the way to ensure your long-term success in this role.
A snapshot of your new role:
- Operate a variety of plant and vehicles including (but not limited to) Side-loading Rubbish & Recycle trucks, Schaffer Loaders, and Rear-loading Litter & Verge trucks
- Collect verge-side green waste, including illegally dumped material
- Litter collection, including park and street bins
- Bin maintenance, including cleaning and bin deliveries
Who we’re looking for:
- “HR” Truck license with proven experience driving heavy vehicles
- Good driving history and ability to read maps and navigate
- Reliable, enthusiastic and team orientated
- Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks in a safe manner in all weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Waste industry experience, including Side-loading rubbish trucks will be highly regarded!
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance (under six months)
