Bring your skills and make your mark in this rewarding opportunity for an experienced Waste Manager with strong technical abilities. Along with excellent people and stakeholder engagement skills you will have experience in management of general, hazardous, and complex waste streams. Importantly, you will have knowledge of waste disposal practices especially lined landfill and associated plant and equipment.
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Services you will play a pivotal role in innovatively managing the Pilbara Regional Waste Management Facility, a brand new Class IV facility located close to Onslow as well as managing waste across the Shire's other key townships and satellite locations.
Your role will include, among other things, ensuring efficient waste management strategies and compliance with regulatory requirements and developing, implementing, and promoting sustainable practices to minimise environmental impacts.

Based in the beautiful coastal town of Onslow you will be able to take advantage of the unique fishing, diving, and snorkelling in the region. You will also be able to explore the magnificent
National Parks located near the iconic Pilbara towns of Tom Price, Pannawonica, and Paraburdoo as you will be required to make regular work trips to some of these towns.
