As a Civil Hydropower Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of hydropower infrastructure, contributing to the generation of clean and renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Civil engineering solutions for hydropower projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of new hydropower developments, considering geological, hydrological, and environmental factors.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for civil works associated with hydropower facilities, including dams, penstocks, spillways, and powerhouse structures.
- Provide technical oversight and support during construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Perform inspections and assessments of existing hydropower infrastructure, identifying opportunities for optimization, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in hydropower engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of our client's operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with a focus on hydropower or water resources engineering. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil engineering, with a proven track record in hydropower project delivery.
- Strong technical proficiency in hydraulics, structural analysis, and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydrological modeling tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
