Hydroexcavac Civil Solutions are looking for a reliable and highly motivated Civil Supervisor to join our growing team.

As a Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your team and equipment managing all steps in the project/job cycle from estimation through to completion. Directly reporting to our Regional Manager meeting safety, quality, and deadline targets, this is a role that requires you to lead, motivate and mentor teams and staff to be their best and produce high quality work, finishing projects on time and within budget.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of projects on site profitably, safely, and efficiently
• Advise the Operations Manager of any operational issues and develop appropriate solutions
• Develop project/job schedules and execute to schedule
• Assist in identifying & sourcing resources for current and future works
• Manage assets, including any asset damage, pre inspections, off-hire procedure, including mob/demob management
• Supervise, mentor, provide guidance to and performance manage direct reports
• Develop and implement project scopes/work schedules logs for all daily tasks
• Ensure effective job tracking, reporting, management practices are in place, including job costing and timely reporting on variations to works where required
• Prepare scope of works for onsite staff

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating civil construction projects
• Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of clients and stakeholders
• Relevant trade/ voc tickets required 
• Knowledge of the coal/mining industry and preferably the Mackay/Bowen Basin region
• A high level of computer literacy/competence (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to use job management data systems
