SalaryOur client is a leading national engineering design consultant specialising in major road and railway infrastructure works in Australia. As a result of a major award of a series projects, we are seeking an experienced Civil & Track Design Engineer to join their team.Responsibilities:
- Support the design manager with the proper implementation of the project along with supporting junior engineers and building of a team to further develop their skills and expertise.
- Detail design of permanent way (experience within the VLine or MTM Rail Infrastructure environment highly regarded)
- Leading Day to Day design activities to address track design and associated works including earthworks, drainage and flood assessments
- Knowledge of track maintenance practices and construction methodologies and the ability to consider/define requirements within design development.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
- NER with the ability to gain a Statement of Competency with VLine or MTM (essential)
- 3 - 5 years+ of professional experience in design or construction of track and railway infrastructure, related to level crossing removal and associated works.
- Exposure to flood assessment, drainage and surface drainage design
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a collaborative environment, whilst having a dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict project deadlines
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with Clients, Stakeholders and Alliance partners.
- Client focused approach to service delivery
- Demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of the capabilities of AutoCAD & Microstation.
- Open Rail and Open Road experience will be highly regarded, training can be provided for the right person.
