What you will be doing
This is an exciting opportunity to join the the Local Government and Fee for Service team, supporting the planning and delivery of local government and fee for service electoral activities, including the 2024 Local Government general election. The role is focused on building and maintaining effective relationships with councils and fee-for-service clients. The Client Liaison Officer will develop an understanding of council and client needs and collaborate with business areas across the VEC to ensure fit-for-purpose and high-quality service delivery.
Reporting directly to the Client Liaison Manager, this role will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships for effective delivery of electoral services.
  • Drafting and overseeing election service agreements, reports, and ensuring compliance with legislation during elections.
  • Monitoring election progress and identifying and escalating issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Documenting internal election procedures on behalf of the Client Liaison team
