Position: Client Service Officer
Duration: Contract mid-March 2024 - 30 August 2024
Salary: $39.56 per hour plus superannuation
Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday
Location: Albury, NSW
 
Primary Purpose of the Position

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your community? We are seeking a Client Service Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting individuals and families to find suitable housing solutions.
 
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Directly engage with clients and their advocates to provide tailored advice and assistance on housing options, ensuring alignment with relevant legislation and policies.
• Collaborate with internal specialists and external service providers to make effective referrals, meeting the additional support needs of clients and enhancing their overall experience.
• Proactively manage tenancies, support clients in maintaining successful tenancies, and facilitate tenancy and community participation initiatives to foster harmonious neighborhoods and stronger communities.

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in assessing client needs and providing advice on housing options while adhering to legislative and policy frameworks.
• Strong ability to maintain accurate and confidential client information, ensuring integrity and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Proven track record in monitoring property conditions and facilitating maintenance, aligning interventions with client needs and regulatory standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Ability to navigate complex situations and diverse client needs with empathy, resourcefulness, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Previous experience working within the government or public services sector is advantageous.
• Must have class C driver's licence.
