Job Description:
As a Client Services Librarian, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients to access evidence-based healthcare information and support library services.
Duties:
- Provide basic reference and research in evidence-based healthcare.
- Assist clients at service desks, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Perform Client Services including document supply, cataloging, and collection maintenance.
- Support library projects focused on innovative technology and digital services.
- Undertake other duties contributing to the organisation's operation.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Accredited degree in Library and Information Science.
- Experience in a library or related information unit (advantageous).
- Successful completion of a pre-employment National Police Check.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience in basic reference and research, preferably in health and medical fields.
- Technical and professional experience in document supply, cataloging, technology projects, or library digital marketing.
- Capacity to work positively in a team, manage change, and build partnerships.
- Demonstrated client liaison skills, communication abilities, and adaptability.
- Understanding and adherence to safety, quality standards, and patient experience.
