Solaris Cancer Care is a not-for-profit organisation, which provides state-wide support to Western Australians and their carers living with cancer. The organisation delivers complementary support, therapies, education and provides resources to people living with cancer in WA. We help people achieve a good quality of life whilst they are receiving mainstream cancer treatments. This role is based at our Cottesloe Centre on a full-time basis.
About the Role
We have an opportunity for a full-time Client Services Manager (CSM) to join our established Cottesloe Centre. As a CSM you will co-ordinate the delivery of the Solaris Cancer Care programs to assist people affected by cancer. To manage a successful centre you will recruit, develop, and support our dedicated volunteers who are key to delivering our services.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide information on our programs and practical support available to individuals, families and communities affected by cancer
- Manage resources including rosters according to the needs of clients at the Cottesloe Centre
- Promote and increase the awareness of our range of support services in the community
- Support our fundraising activities and campaigns
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships within the community
- Recruit, develop, and support a team of skilled support Volunteers
- Maintain, collect, analyse, and report on data for the centre to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement
- Open and close the centre each day
- Ensure facilities are appropriately maintained.
To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:
- Previous experience in a coordination/ management role
- Compassion, initiative, and highly developed interpersonal skills to be able to communicate and engage with a diverse range of people
- Team player with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- High level organisational and administrative skills
- High level oral and written communication skills
- Ability to delegate, manage and prioritise tasks
- Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Sound experience using MS Office including Outlook, Excel and Teams
- Ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
Selection Criteria
- Experience in the health care or community services industry (desirable)
- Experience working in a client/customer facing role (desirable)
- Working with volunteers including implementing recruitment and retention strategies (desirable)
- Relevant qualifications and training
- Commitment to work positively and productively as part of a team
- Demonstrated organisational and administrative abilities, with a flexible approach
- Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Work Hours
- The position hours are 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday - Friday, however, flexibility to work additional hours may be required.
