Our client is a family owned and operated allied health provider with a clinic based in Hermit Park, Townsville. With their head office in Townsville and other permanent clinics in Mackay, Spring Hill and Gold Coast plus outreach clinics throughout Queensland. They pride themselves on providing the best possible care and outcomes to their patients in suburban and remote communities, allowing them to maintain quality of life.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, action-oriented Client Services Officer/Receptionist with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine desire to deliver the very best patient care. Your strong ability to multi-task and your willingness to give things a go, is what will help you succeed in this very diverse role – no two days are the same!
As the face of our Townsville clinic and member of our wider support team, you will be responsible for:
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Meeting and greeting patients
• Inbound and outbound phone calls
• Taking payments and processing Medicare claims
• Managing clinic emails
• Providing maintenance and troubleshooting support for patient devices
• Handling mail, deliveries and providing general administrative support as required
To keep pace in this busy clinic the following skills are essential to fill the role:
• Proven ability to maintain high attention to detail
• Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in a reception/administration role (no experience in the health care industry is required)
• The ability to think on your feet so that you are confident in your ability to work autonomously
• Exceptional communication skills with an empathetic and caring patient service approach
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• The ability to build rapport with a wide range of patients both face to face and over the phone
• Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to learn our unique booking system
• Fast typing (minimum 60 wpm) and ability to quickly document phone enquiries
• Take pride in the presentation of yourself and your workspace
Applicants must be available to work at least 4 days a week, hours of work to be discussed with the successful candidate. Please note this role is based in the clinic there is no option to work from home.
