SMS Healthcare seeks an enthusiastic Clinic Business Operations Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional patient
experience and outcomes across our facilities.
About the Role:
In this newly created position, you will work closely with the National Operations Manager and the clinic leadership team to execute the SMS Healthcare operational plan. This is a diverse and impactful role where you will oversee the implementation of various operational initiatives aimed at
creating greater group synergies between clinics, improving staff workflows, enhancing efficiencies, and driving overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Initiatives: Oversee and implement strategic initiatives to foster group synergies across clinics, streamline workflows, and boost operational efficiencies.
- Collaboration: Form strong, effective partnerships with Clinic Leaders, providing the support
and guidance necessary to help them achieve their budgetary goals - Performance Enhancement: Drive priorities that improve operational performance, ensuring alignment with SMS Healthcare's overall business objectives.
- Travel and Support: Regular travel across NSW, QLD, and VIC to work closely with clinic leaders and staff, ensuring the consistent application of operational strategies and fostering a unified approach to healthcare delivery.
Qualifications & Capabilities:
- Proven experience in a clinic, hospital, operations management or similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry. Ophthalmology experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in the business, including Clinic Leaders, the Executive Team and our Doctor network.
- Strong understanding of fundamental Business Operations, including monitoring financial performance, labour management control, clinical processes through utilisation of staff and technology, quality/regulatory requirements for processes/documentation and understanding of core patient processing requirements, e.g. quotations, billings, documentation requirements, recall protocols, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Experience working with practice management systems. Genie, VIP and Xestro are desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A proven record of strong relationship management is essential, as this role will work with13 clinic managers and 40+ doctors across three states.
- Willingness to travel quite regularly across NSW, QLD, and VIC.
