We are currently seeking a full time Clinical Administrator (Risk and Equipment) to join our team in Jandakot. This role will provide support to the clinical team.
This person is responsible for the administration of clinical incidents and procurement of equipment, as well as carrying out additional administrative functions with clinical services.

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. RFDS crews are committed to providing the finest care to the furthest corners of the State, using the highest standards of clinical care, aviation safety and technology to make a difference to people living and working across WA – the largest and most remote health jurisdiction in the world.
The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Its 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.
About you
- Experience working in a Clinical Administrator role
- A team player, who is self-motivated and ready to work in a fast-paced role
- Excellent IT skills with experience in Excel and Word
- Experience in agenda setting and minute taking
- The ability to adapt to internal databases and pick up new skills easily
- A strong ability to prioritise tasks, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- The ability to adapt to change and the flexibility to move from one task to another with short notice
- A keen problem solver and happy to point out ways to improve efficiencies
- Proactive, positive and willing to support others
- Keen eye for detail
- Providing administrative support to the clinical team.
- Procurement of medical equipment and maintaining databases.
- Managing and processing of medical records.
- Setting up VC meetings and arranging in person meetings including catering.
- Preparing and distributing agendas.
- Minute taking and managing action items for clinical committees.
- Collating data for reporting purposes.
- Assisting with research and projects.
- Part-time 0.8 FTE (4 days a week), initially until November 2024 with possibility of extension
- Salary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses
