Clinical Assistant/Nurse

2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE - Orange and Dubbo NSW

Both our Dubbo and Orange Eye Centre have a position available for a Clinical Assistant/Nurse to work with our Ophthalmology team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused professional to join our teams. Each position is for approximately 1-2 days per week. On the job training will be provided for the right candidates.

This role can be filled by separate individuals for each particular location, but happy to consider someone that may be willing to divide their time between both and cover the role completely.

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently
• Strong ability to communicate effectively
• Be reliable, efficient and able to work under pressure
• Have a clear understanding for patient confidentiality
• Minimum Cert 3 AIN - EN/RN preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Time management and ability to follow clinical schedule 

Desirable Criteria

• Previous experience in an Ophthalmic practice or medical setting
• Cannulation qualifications/experience highly regarded 
• Willingness to expand knowledge around ophthalmology 
• Immediate Start 

Main Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document their medical history and visual acuity accurately prior to seeing the Ophthalmologist
• Perform a wide range of diagnostic procedures/tests
