In this current recruitment, our priority is to employ 3 permanent part-time employees who will work active overnight shifts (awakes) in one of our high-intensity Clinical Care homes. You will work to support a fully cognisant and intelligent participant who is a quadriplegic and values the quality of care they receive.
You'll have a fixed roster line. Your shifts will be active overnight shifts (10 pm to 6 am). You will be supporting one participant only on your shifts, a balanced roster, with every second weekend rostered off.
This role may suit students who are currently studying nursing or other aligned professions. It may also suit a parent who needs to be home in the mornings for school drop off and the evenings for family meals etc.

Qualifications and Experience
- Nursing Students, second year and above.
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, AIN, Community Services or Mental Health
- Minimum 12 months of experience working within these sectors supporting participants with high Clinical Care needs. Candidates without experience may be considered based on their application.
- Strong passion for working with people with disabilities. You will be patient, honest, empathetic, and able to manage pressure and challenging situations.
- A current driver's license and your own vehicle
- Valid NDIS check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a strong supportive dynamic team.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Supporting participants to access the Community safely.
- Providing high-intensity care to participants with complex needs.
- Assisting with household chores such as shopping, cooking, cleaning and transportation.
- Provide training and advice on how to live independently and manage life skills such as budgeting and decision-making,
- Bringing your ideas to life by creating and coordinating social events and educational activities.
