The Central Coast Local Health District Community Health Centre is currently seeking a passionate and focused professional with a genuine desire to help both the medical staff and the community.

About You

  • You have a current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence and a valid Working with Children Check.
  • Demonstrated extensive, current clinical experience with substance use disorder clients in community settings.  
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Senior Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a clinical service and experience in the leading, supervising and developing staff/students.


Where you’ll be working 

 You will based at our Gosford Hospital  but may be required to travel to our Community Health Centres across the Central Coast.

What you'll be doing

  • The Clinical Coordinator – Drug and Alcohol Counselling Service is responsible for facilitating effective and efficient clinical decision making with regard to the client flow.
  • The position is responsible for assisting the Counselling Portfolio Manager in ensuring that referrals are prioritised appropriately, monitor client pathways through the Counselling Portfolio and ensure comprehensive and appropriate treatment plans are developed.
  • This role will also maintain a clinical caseload within the Counselling Portfolio.
  • The Drug and Alcohol Counselling Service provide non-acute assessment, care planning and treatment for clients presenting with substance use issues.
  • The position may be required to work from any Community Health Centre across the Central Coast.
