The Faculty of Health provides high quality, innovative programs of teaching and learning, research and consulting and continuing professional education to clients of wide backgrounds, both nationally and internationally in a spectrum of disciplines. The School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation is based at the UTS facility in the Rugby Australia Building at Moore Park, where this position is located. This state-of-the-art centre, a first in the country, combines university programs with a premier sporting precinct. The school's clinic is a not-for-profit teaching and research clinic that provides quality exercise physiology and exercise program services to the community, and is a training facility for students as part of their degree.
About the Role
The Clinic and Practicum Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative and day to day function of the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation's Clinic and internal/external student placements. This will include planning, establishing and maintaining processes and schedules, ensuring that internal and external deadlines are met, and that governance, compliance, and quality assurance processes are in place.
The position provides high level Clinic and placement administrative management support to academics, clinic supervisors, and students to ensure the delivery of quality student supervision and learning, and clinical care in alignment with the business and strategic plans of the School.
Administrative coordination of this role requires specialised knowledge and high level organisational skills to manage a wide variety of activities across con-current subject placements, and the development, implementation and refinement of systems to ensure efficient and smooth service delivery and general operation.
During the clinic's operating period (during university sessions), the incumbent will be required to be fully on-campus, and will also be required to work to an alternate pattern of hours (i.e. 7:30am to 2:30pm or 11:00am to 7:00pm, equitably distributed between the incumbent and another staff member). Hybrid work is acceptable outside of these periods which will be at least 3 days per week on-campus.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Proven ability to develop, implement and coordinate administrative processes and contribute to long term planning.
- Ability to work independently, problem solve and present solutions to the team in a timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge or an aptitude to learn the requirements and complexities of student placement programs and a clinic environment.
- Excellent organisational, time management, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take initiative and make decisions while managing conflicting priorities.
- Knowledge of Clinic and placement database systems i.e. SONIA, Titanium, ClinConnect (desirable)
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary: $102,458 to $113,344 pa (HEW 7)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
