Where you'll be working:
The Older Peoples Mental Health Service in Hunter New England incorporates 7 geographically based community teams located throughout the Hunter New England LHD, and an Older Peoples Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit located at the Mater Mental Health Centre in Waratah.
About the role:
Sitting as part of the HNE Older Peoples Mental Health leadership team located at the Mater Mental Health Centre, Waratah, the OPMH Clinical Coordinator is a District Wide position providing clinical and strategic leadership across multiple settings and teams. As such, travel between teams is a critical requirement of the position.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and pro-active clinical leader with advanced skills in leading service development and service improvement in a Mental Health setting.
The position will report to the Service Manager Older Peoples Mental Health & Transitional Care Services, and will closely work alongside other leadership positions within the OPMH service, and broader HNE Mental Health Services.
Requirements:
- Must hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program) which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and proven experience in related field or a combination of both study and experience.
