Our client is a large federal government agency focused on providing high quality mental health assessment and clinical counselling services. Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will work with a professional team who are all dedicated to making a different in the lives of their clients.
About the role:
- Working in a contact centre, you will be providing high quality first point of contact customer service to individuals and their families requiring counselling and/or case management support.
- Triaging and coordinating intakes and referrals Scheduling appointments for one-on-one appointments or group counselling.
- Escalating cases complex or high-risk cases where relevant.
- Maintaining up to data and accurate records for all phone and email correspondence.
- Liaising and forming partnerships with other departments and organisations and community health and welfare agencies.
- You will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- You will have Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance (Blue Card) ideally, or have it granted before commencing the role.
- Experience in a similar clinical role
- A passion for clinical psychology and social work to support mental health initiatives.
- ASAP start pending Federal Police Check
- 18 month fixed term contract - you will be employed directly by the clienbt, and you will have access to sick pay and holiday pay
- Full time (9-day fortnight) on a 24/7 roster system – please note you will need to have flexibility to work evenings, overnights and weekends.
