About the role
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice, education and support to CatholicCare’s Services and staff within Seniors, NDIS, and Out of Home Care. You will provide clinical support, training and supervision to staff delivering clinical management plans to clients, and contribute to the development of those plans, in addition to relevant policies and practice guidelines to support high quality clinical care.
The right candidate will be flexible with work hours and travel to other work sites, as required. On offer is the ability to part time or full time over the 12-month maternity leave contract.
Nurse Award Level 3, above award rate by negotiation for the right candidate
Duties
- Reviewing, implementing clinical frameworks, and ensuring correct practices.
- Providing training for our employees to ensure a high level of clinical practice, in areas such as medication management, tube feeding, epilepsy care.
- Being able to answer questions raised by staff.
- Completing assessments of our participants, such as annual health reviews.
- Dynamic hands-on role, working with our participants and employees to deliver high quality clinical care.
- Being a member of our Clinical, Care and Governance sub committee
- Degree level qualifications in Nursing.
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Previous experience in delivering clinical training to frontline employees.
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s License.
- Access to an insured vehicle.
- Demonstrated commitment to an understanding of the provision of high-quality NDIS, Aged Care and Permanency Care and willingness to learn about the Aged Care Quality standard, NDIS Practice Standards & NSW Children's Guardian standards for permanent care.
- Previous experience in direct service delivery or direct care
- Experience providing clinical care in a community setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and abilities.
