What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within the Drug Health specialty through the delivery of a specialist consultative service.
The Consult Liaison role operates primarily within the inpatient setting and leads a small team of specialist nurses.

Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse Current registration with AHPRA
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum (5) Five years full time equivalent post registration experience with at least (3) Three years full time equivalent experience in the speciality field. In addition the employee must have approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the hospital/organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify service improvement opportunities. Including the capacity to initiate change and negotiate support from key stakeholders across the organisation in clinical practice implementation
- Demonstrated commitment to developing, implementing and evaluating research/quality improvement activities aimed at enhancing services
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem solve and make timely and sound clinical decisions whilst working autonomously e.g. understanding the application of evidence based practice, risk reduction and management of the principles of continuous quality improvement across Drug Health Services
- Ability to provide education and counselling for staff, patients and families
