The Clinical Nurse / Midwifery Educator is integral to the maintenance of standards and developing and implementing a variety of assessment and education strategies to facilitate the development of staff practice at a ward / unit level. The Clinical Nurse Educator is to identify relevant skills needed and ensure that training programs are delivered to support skill gaps and ongoing professional development that will enhance departmental performance.

About you
An exciting, short term opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to coordinate the learning and professional development of staff at Mayo Private Hospital. This person will work to identify learning and professional development needs of staff, coordinate learning activities and implement best practice into learning activities across the hospital.
- Current registration with APHRA
- Minimum 3 years' post graduate experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing issues
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven commitment to customer service and a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to Healthe Care Vision, Mission and Values
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement principles, accreditation, clinical policy development and implementation
- Sound computer literacy in desktop applications and patient management systems
- Strong leadership and collaborative interpersonal communication skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- A demonstrated commitment to self-development
- Ability to work flexible hours
- National Criminal History Record Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Previous experience in an education role in a hospital
- Previous experience in Management or supervisor role
