ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
This rewarding permanent part time position will see you join and become an essential part of the clinical leadership team within St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba. St Luke’s Ward is a unique 28 bed unit which delivers high quality, comprehensive care to our medical patients with a strong focus on acute cardiology, including interventional cardiac procedures, stroke and general medical. As Clinical Educator, you will become a part of a team which works with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to delivering patient centred goals, driven by evidenced based practise through ongoing quality initiatives.
This role will be part time and will be pivotal in supporting the educational requirements of staff within the unit
ABOUT YOU:
As a Clinical Educator, you will lead and support staff to deliver excellence in patient care and outcomes, through the demonstrated behaviour that represents the hospital’s mission and values. As Clinical Educator on St Luke’s ward, you will be responsible for establishing, leading and educating fellow staff members to establish plans of care with a multi-disciplinary approach.
Your qualifications, skills and experience will include:
- At least 5years’ acute clinical experience working in a Cardiac/Medical/ Stroke Ward environment, with a strong interest in cardiac care
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Possess effective written and verbal communication
- In-depth knowledge of Australian National Standards and relevant legislation
- Have the drive to motivate fellow staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Able to actively support and guide new staff members to an acute care setting

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology, radiology and pharmacy are also available on site, and our emergency department is open 24 hours, seven days a week.
