NoosaCare is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator for a newly created role, supporting our clinical and care teams in having their education needs met. As a Clinical Nurse Educator at NoosaCare you will:
- Effectively identify, plan, manage and monitor Noosacare learning and development activities.
- Ensure that relevant and required qualifications, learning and competency records are updated, maintained, and reported accurately.
- Develop and implement a plan, in consultation with the Management Team, to address the staff education requirements to ensure all staff have appropriate knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively using skill’s analysis, performance appraisals and staff feedback data.
- Prepare reports on attendance and non-attendance and follow up actions with individual employees who are not compliant.
- Provide clinical support and ongoing education of care staff including competency assessments and medication administration.
- Provide individual mentoring for employees where skills gaps are identified.
- Deliver toolbox talks across a range of related subjects to ensure employees’ knowledge and practice meet NoosaCare policies and procedures.
- Lead group training classes and share your skills and expertise.
- Conduct new staff orientation education clinical component of Noosacare.
- Review and maintain the Orientation program in consultation with the Management.
- Ensure all staff have completed the Orientation program and competencies promptly.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative matters relating to education and development.
- Assist with Quality Compliance to exceed performance.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
- Be part of a positive, friendly, and supportive team.
- The position may involve travel to various facilities within NoosaCare Tewantin and Cooroy sites.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential:
- Registered as Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Current Criminal Background Check.
- Reside and hold full working rights in Australia.
- Certificate IV is Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain.
Desirable:
- Experience in residential aged care.
- AN-ACC knowledge or willingness to obtain skills.
