Fixed term temporary full time and part time opportunities to provide expert clinical knowledge and clinical care for consumers/persons with a variety of conditions through role modelling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence based consumer/person focused care, education, leadership and portfolio management. In addition, this role will provide support and direction to the Registered Nurse/Midwife and other non-registered nursing personnel in more complex situations.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Apply advanced clinical nursing/midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of consumer/person centred care.
- Respond appropriately to, and provide support and direction to manage, sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person using advanced nursing/midwifery assessment and intervention skills.
- Integrate organisational policies and guidelines with professional standards by maintaining current knowledge and participating in relevant policy review.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and problem-solving relevant to the care of consumer/person within the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Service.
- Practise collaboratively with the interprofessional health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
