Flinders Private Hospital is seeking a senior perioperative scrub nurse to join the team as a Clinical Nurse of Plastic Surgery. This position will work in consultation with the Theatre NUM, Perioperative Services Manager and perioperative nursing team and will be responsible for the collaboration of safe and quality surgical patient care.
The Flinders Private Hospital operating suite is comprised of 9 theatres and 1 procedure room and operates electively over a 6-day week.
Key attributes and responsibilities
- Ability to participate in a 7-day on-call roster.
- Lead by example, demonstrating the professionalism and culture of Flinders Private Hospital.
- Highly competent scrub/scout in a range of Plastic surgery cases
- Ability to plan and facilitate the management of surgical lists.
- Liaising with surgical representatives and surgeons.
- Committed to quality improvement programs.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of risk management principles.
- Committed to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation.
- Unrestricted registration with AHPRA
