The recovery nursing team at Gold Coast Private Hospital supports a busy 21 theatre operating suite,
recovering patients and providing post anaesthetic assistance and pain management across our range of
specialties.
We are now seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse in Recovery to work Monday - Friday across
a 64 hours per fortnight with some on call hours on a Saturday.
Within the Clinical Nurse role your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver quality-nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating individual patient
care - Educate, support and lead staff
- Provide a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education
maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment - Develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication
The successful applicant will need to have:
- 2 - 3 years experience in a Recovery Nursing role
- Post Graduate qualifications in Recovery Nursing or working towards
- Demonstrated high clinical standards in patient assessment.
- Experience in Paediatrics Recovery highly desirable
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good technical proficiency and familiarity with a range of pain management protocols
- Willingness to actively and positively contribute to a high functioning multidisciplinary PACU nursing team.
