In this role you'll be responsible for evaluation and supervision in the provision of complex nursing care in Sexual Health and HIV at Orange and outreach settings.
The service targets priority populations and you'll be responsible for case coordination, health promotion and prevention intervention to people at risk of, or presenting sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses. The Orange Sexual Health Service provides a comprehensive range of screening and management of people with sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses as per local and NSW Health policies and procedures.
The position is also responsible for the provision of education to other health care workers and educators in the community in relation to Sexual Health. This is a targeted position in accordance with GSE Rule 26 – affirmative action will be applied to employment of eligible persons. Newly developed in 2011 on the grounds of Bloomfield Campus, the 520 bed state of the art facility has a 200 bed general hospital, with five operating suites and 60 specialised treatment areas.
