Clinical Nurse Specialist – Cardiac | Sydney

An excellent role is available for a highly organised and dynamic Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Operating Theatre team at a private hospital in Sydney. This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity.THE POSITIONYou will join the team as a Clinical Nurse Educator – Cardiac, where you will take on a diverse array of responsibilities including:

• Welcoming new staff, students, and visitors to our Operating Theatre department;
• Organising unit-based and hospital-wide-in-services and study days;
• Developing and reviewing policies;
• Leading quality improvement projects;
• Overseeing clinical and documentation audits within the department;
• Managing both the direct entry New Graduate Program and Post Graduate program for Recovery staff;
• Participation in the hospital-wide mandatory training program.

THE CANDIDATEThe successful applicant will have:

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• At least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in Theatre;
• Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration;
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
• Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of patients;
• Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice;
• Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement processes;
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

The Orthopaedic Ward has 76 private rooms.
