Pindara Private Hospital Theatres is searching for an experienced and enthusiastic senior Nurse to join our team!

The Role

The Perioperative department at Pindara Private Hospital offers an extensive range of surgical services across 19 operating theatres, 2 endoscopy suites and 1 cardiac catheter lab.

This opportunity will see you take on a key leadership role, working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the efficient management of resources and excellence in care delivery in line with policies, procedures and best practice.

This role works a 7-day rotating roster and will see you mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff alongside a supportive leadership team.

This is a perfect opportunity for a senior nurse to step up into a clinical leadership role and build your skillset!

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed you will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor.  You will bring strong clinical skillset in perioperative services and have the ability to manage and provide leadership to staff.  

You will also demonstrate the following:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated clinical problem-solving abilities
• Minimum 3 years scrub/scout experience essential
• Minimum 2 years ENT experience required
• Paediatric dental and maxillo-facial surgery experience highly desirable
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality and infection control processes
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $52.86 - $56.83 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (RN/RM Level 2 gr 1-4).

The Hospital

Pindara Private Hospital is a modern 348 licensed acute care Hospital with extensive on site facilities including a 24 hour Emergency Department, 19 Operating Theatres including our Day Surgery and Endoscopy Unit, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Oncology, Maternity and Paediatric units, Rehabilitation and Renal Dialysis, a state of the art Cardiac Catheter Laboratory / Hybrid Theatre, in-house Pharmacy, comprehensive Pathology and X-Ray including Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI and Nuclear Medicine imaging and a number of on-site consulting suites. The campus also includes a 5 level medical specialist’s suite building.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
