Clarity Health Care is an accredited mental health service delivering a multidisciplinary, responsive program offering care to people with any form of mental health concern or mental illness. Our mental health programs offer psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and registered nurses. More important than discipline, is the individual skill of the senior mental health clinicians we employ. Evidence based care is delivered through outreach services, clinic-based appointments, telehealth and group programs, based on clinical reasoning and need. Due to the design of the workforce at Clarity, collaboration and continuity of care is core to the delivery of the treatment, with the recovery model and bio-psycho-social model being the grounding principles of all care.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Operations Manager forms part of the leadership team of our growing business at Clarity Health Care. They will lead by example, building a culture to ensure quality and safe care are at the centre of everything we do. This senior leadership position will be located at Brunswick East, with frequent collaboration and onsite visits to the Sunshine local mental health hub, additionally, a remote position will be considered for the right candidate. This role is a collaboration between Cohealth, Clarity Health Care and the University of Melbourne. It will play a pivotal role in developing and managing efficient and effective Clinical Operations of the service.
This role would suit an experienced manager who has strong technical skills, including competency in managing a number of data components, including checking information stored on systems are accurate. Partnership/Relationship management experience is essential in this role, particularly regarding working with complex stakeholders and being able to push back when required, whilst maintaining a strong professional relationship.
Responsibilities:
- Bring together the Clarity Health Care clinical team with the cohealth team and harness one Brimbank Mental Health and Wellbeing Local culture.
- Direct management of a team of clinicians
- Provide professional supervision to team members and work with them to ensure employed allied health professionals are achieving an average of 5+ appointments per day.
- Ensure processes and Clarity’s contribution to the Brimbank Mental Health and Wellbeing local meet legislative requirements.
- Lead and encourage our quality improvement processes including recognising any potential or actual barriers to delivering effective care.
- Maintain program specific governance systems and oversee the operation and reporting.
- Maintain an operational risk register and contribute to the Strategic Risk register.
- Undertake and monitor a range of clinical quality and safety performance indicators / audits.
- Monitor patient safety indicators and implement clinical risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor patient outcome measures and support implementation of evaluation strategies.
- Ensure that clinical incidents, adverse and sentinel events are investigated and reported.
- Work collaboratively with cohealth and external stakeholders to provide a joined-up service.
- Oversee the reporting and contract compliance to cohealth, particularly ensuring that the chosen consortium ehealth system (Trak) is continuously updated.
- Support the recruitment and manage the onboarding of clinical staff.
- Support training, professional development and supervision of clinical staff
- Undertake and monitor a range of clinical quality and safety performance indicators / audits.
Role requirements:
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in a similar sector.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging systems to deliver consistent service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in partnering with complex stakeholders and managing business relationships.
- Approved tertiary qualifications.
- High level of computer literacy skills
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- A recent criminal records check (within the last 12 months)
- Having a current “Working with Children Check” is a condition of the position.
