About the Position
STEM People are offering a unique opportunity for multiple full-time or part-time Clinical Psychologists on behalf of our client.
You will have the chance to work in a private medical practice (Meadowbank or Leichhardt) or a recently opened, state-of-the-art purpose-built clinic (Belrose, Northern Beaches).
Primary Purpose of the role
As a Psychologist in our Private Practice, your main role is to support clients in understanding and managing their mental health concerns and to assist in the effective running of the clinic.
Your scope of practice will include a combination of one-on-one appointments, group therapy sessions, and Telehealth consultations, specialising in providing holistic, high-quality psychological services through personalised, multidisciplinary support plans, which aim to support individuals through life’s challenges and inspire self-development.
The Clinical Psychologist, reporting to the Clinical Director, will play a vital role in providing therapeutic interventions, assessments, and psychological support to our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapy, and monitoring progress.
- Working closely with clients to help them understand and address various mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, relationship issues, and other psychological disorders.
- Opportunities to work with clients in groups and individually as well as through charities with clients who may otherwise have been unable to access psychological therapies.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Psychological practices
- Be calm, naturally curious and a deep listener who can distil and translate complexity into actionable insights.
- Experienced in solving complex problems.
- Demonstrated experience in providing Psychological assessments, with strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and their applications in treating different mental health conditions
- Be adaptable and able to connect with others and influence outcomes.
- Ability to work independently, manage caseloads, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Hold a recognised postgraduate Psychology qualification (e.g., Masters or Doctorate)
- AHPRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist (ESSENTIAL)
- Valid and current membership with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and endorsement as a Psychologist.
- Valid membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) or an equivalent professional association.
- Evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Experience practicing psychology in Australia.
