Clinical Services Manager/Ddon

The Home:

Community based Not for Profit organisation that provides a range of services, housing/accommodation and care to people who come from low socio-economic backgrounds and are at risk of homelessness.

The residential care home is extremely well supported clinically, with great resident/RN/EEN & PCA ratio's and higher than average care minutes per resident and is managed by an engaging and dedicated DON who will support, mentor and guide. 

The role and duties:

Working closely with the DON the Clinical Services Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of dedicated and professional Nurses and carers and will use their strong leadership skills to ensure a high level of care is provided to the resident in this stable home.

You will use your clinical skills and knowledge to guide the nursing team in all aspects of care planning, assessments, family conferencing, wound care and AN-ACC documentation. You will be responsible for implementing and organising education programmes and be responsible for maintaining all clinical policies and procedures and continuous improvement outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Current Div 1 registration with AHPRA
• Minimum 3-5 years in a Senior Clinical Management role in Aged Care
• Passion for leading and mentoring
• Thorough understanding of aged care standards and accreditation processes
• Working knowledge and understanding of AN-ACC drivers
• Ability to drive quality and continuous improvement activities
• An energetic and happy disposition with a keen desire to lead by example.

This is a leadership role that will require someone who has strong supervisory skills and ability to direct staff and ensure they are closely monitoring residents care whilst working towards improved clinical outcomes.
