What you'll be doingThe Clinical Support Officer (CSO) is a ward/unit based role to support the work activities of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff, providing timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM). The CSO works closely with existing administrative staff at the ward/unit level. The CSO will work under supervision but will be required to take independent action and initiative. • Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
• Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem solving, formulating new approaches and implementing comprehensive change programs and improvement strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes
• Demonstrated experience in word processing, spread sheet and database software
• Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent within 12 months of employment.
