Veritus Research is looking for a pharmacist at our new state of the art Clinical Trials facility in Bayswater.
The Clinical Trials Pharmacist will be integral in contributing to the efficiency, quality and medication safety of Emeritus Research, in regard to Investigational Product (IP) management and in attaining our operational and financial goals.

To be successful in the role you will:
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with key stakeholders, including internal staff, CRAs, sponsors and trials participants.
- Ensure Emeritus Research operates within the regulations and legislations relevant to the lawful supply and preparation of medications.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills to ensure all IP and any related ancillary supplies are available throughout the trial to avoid delays in recruitment or visits.
- Perform IP Management activities including IP receipt, dispensing, record-keeping and destruction, and demonstrate the ability to adhere to company’s SOPs and trial protocol procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills and Good Pharmacy Practice by being able to perform under stress in a fast-paced environment to minimise medication error.
- Demonstrate excellent attention-to-detail to ensure dispensing and accountability records are accurate, complete and legible following ICH-GCP principles.
- Oversee IP and medications temperature monitoring in pharmacy and manage any temperature excursions.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team and trial team to assure compliance to protocol tasks and patient safety.
- Demonstrate ability to identify potential issues related to clinical and trial operations, and medication safety. Work proactively to report issues to manager and follow up accordingly.
- Ability to identify and recognise any variations including protocol deviations, demonstrate excellent understanding of pharmaceutical therapy by providing relevant trainings to internal company staff.
- Works in a dynamic, energetic, and positive manner where change, growth and development are welcomed as challenges rather than obstacles.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate trial performance and outcomes and discuss improvement opportunities with relevant parties.
- Ensure regulatory processes are completed within site, sponsor and HREC timelines including:
- Ensure trial information is readily available and presentable to Leadership Team, Sponsors and CROs.
- Utilises designated technology platforms optimally to ensure processes and reporting are accurate and efficient.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
- Work experience as a pharmacist for at least 3+ years.
- Experience in Clinical Trials is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in aseptic compounding is desirable but not mandatory.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Australian citizen or permanent Australian Resident
REPORTING LINES
- The Clinical Trials Pharmacist will report directly to the Pharmacy Manager.
- There are no direct reports associated with this role, but there is an expectation that the incumbent will actively manage relationships with all staff to ensure success and assist in the training of new staff.
