This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trials Supervisor OR Clinical Trials Manager to join a multidisciplinary team of world-leading researchers and clinicians on a multi-site Clinical Trial aiming to solve the problem confronting adolescents with kneecap pain.
As the Clinical Trials Supervisor/Manager, you will provide specialised project management and Clinical Trial Management support for a multi-site Clinical Trial entitled ACTIVE KNEECAPs! This is an MRFF funded project which will compare the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of targeted physiotherapy, foot orthoses (shoe inserts) and advice and education for adolescents with kneecap pain (patellofemoral pain). This project will provide healthcare practitioners with the evidence and resources to make informed treatment decisions for adolescents with kneecap pain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating this multi-centre investigator-initiated study from startup, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the trial. You will contribute to:
ensuring the highest standards of research governance and ethics compliance;
developing, monitoring and reporting on the project plan for the Clinical Trial; and
drafting trial-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) and working instructions.
In this role, you will help to ensure that all study aspects of the Clinical Trial are in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines (ICH-GCP), SOPs, and local and international regulatory requirements, and that study-specific requirements including protocols and ethically approved study-specific documents are being adhered to across all trial sites. You will participate in collaborative multi-disciplinary research activities with internal and external collaborators, across trial sites across Australia, to ensure successful coordination of the trial.
Some interstate travel may be required to complete site visits in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart.

This is a part-time (80% FTE), fixed-term position through to 31 December 2026. This role is being offered at HEW Level 7 or HEW level 8 commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
At HEW Level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,649 - $105,244, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $113,080 - $123,136 annually.
At HEW Level 8, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $108,975 - $122,176, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $127,500 - $142,946 annually.
As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.
