Quickly becoming a leader in its field, the Company has gone from strength to strength and experiencing rapid growth. Because of this we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join the Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing code to manage and automate routine procedures across different cloud providers.
- Improving/Implementing continuous integration and delivery process through automation
- Maintain a sharp operational edge, ensuring that key systems are functioning as intended, proactively avoiding any downtime or degradation of service as experienced by customers.
- Monitoring, auditing, consolidation and life cycle management of all infrastructure assets.
- Support for both internal and external customers.
- Extensive documentation and knowledge sharing
- Participate in active development of our software platform.
- Hold, enforce and improve security policies and best practices.
Who are you?
- Cloud environment management(AWS preferred).
- System-level understanding of networking/OS core concepts.
- Building,manage and optimize AWS based infrastructure with IAC tools terraform(preferred), CDK or Cloudformation.
- Design and implement build and release pipelines (Github Actions/Buildkite)
- Strong understanding on setting up Observability and alerting for AWS services and on tools like (Grafana/Prometheus, Pagerduty)
- Security-centric approach to all work.
- Working commercial experience with Linux and Windows
- Hands-on automation experience with any programming/scripting language (i.e. Python, Unix).
- Working knowledge of RDS SQL and Document databases (i.e. Aurora MySQL, Dynamo e.t.c).
- Solid understanding of major AWS services: R53, RDS, IAM, EC2, Lambda, VPC, WAF and shield advance.
- Strong technical documentation skills, you must be an active contributor to our knowledge sharing portal.
