PROK Conveyor Components are a privately-owned Australian manufacturer specialising in high-quality conveyor components, conveyor pulleys, rollers, idlers and associated bulk materials handling components. Our products can be found throughout the Australian and international mining, construction, and industrial sectors.
Our Opportunity
As PROK’s workshops continues to expand with the installation of 3 additional CNC machines, our team is now searching for multiple CNC Machinists. The position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in Smeaton Grange, NSW with day and night shift positions available. Daily duties will include however are not limited to.
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes (Mori Seiki and Okuma).
- Setting and operating broaching machines.
- Machining of shafts and other components as per the drawing.
- Ability to evaluate and review factory orders and drawings to determine job specifications and requirements.
- Responsible for the housekeeping and cleanliness of your designated workplace and site in general to 5S Standard.
The Right Person
You will use your expertise to contribute to the production of PROK’s Conveyor rollers. The ideal candidate will have:
- Trade certificate qualified/equivalent experience in operating Mori Seiki and Okuma lathes.
- Previous experience as either a CNC Operator or CNC Programmer.
- Previous experience setting and operating broaching machines.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehensively read and understand engineering drawings.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Accept workload and willingly help others when required.
- A professional work ethic which includes being prompt, honest and reliable.
- Adhere to safety and WHS practices.
