THE POSITION:
Role would suit individuals with Certificate III in Manufacturing Engineering, Fitter & Machinist or Toolmaker qualifications who have a level of experience in operating similar machines.
You will assist with day-to-day operations to ensure quality output is met.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to complete precision type work as per job requirements
- Ability to operate manual and CNC lathes, CNC milling, radial drill and vertical borers machines
- Consistently complete work in a timely manner
- Accurately fill out job documentation as per QA requirements
- Demonstrate personal responsibility in ensuring all safety, quality, and environmental practices and standards are effectively maintained at all times
- Demonstrate integrity through consistent behaviours and values
- Effectively interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and machining requirements
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in CNC programming languages and software to create and modify machining programs
- Ability to set up, operate and monitor CNC machines
- Experience using computerised equipment
- Horizontal & vertical bora
- Drilling machine & lathe experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Be driven, passionate and progress driven
- Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
