Our Client is a reputable Remedial Builder, looking for a Junior CA.
The Role
To organise and help supervise the successful completion of contract works with regard to safety, programme, quality and budget.

Planning and Organisation:
- Understand the assessment of tender projects and plan accordingly and work with Senior Estimator.
- Help Improve tender quality through exceptional preparation, planning and organisation.
Teamwork:
- Develop and maintain harmonious work relationships between company teams / divisions and external relationships.
- Review tender documentation with the General Manager
Communication:
- Provide Estimator with relevant and accurate highly skilled knowledge and experience
- Concise and clear reporting through competent written skills
- Solid communication skills with subcontractors and clients
Technical:
- Develop Solid knowledge of tendering, standards, procedures, and the competitive market.
- Develop Project pricing and coding.
- Develop an appreciation of construction risk.
- Develop an understanding of the commonly used techniques and materials as applicable to remedial building works.
- Develop a Proper understanding Preparation of projects and job files.
- Develop an understanding of preliminaries and preparation.
- Develop a Competent usage of Build soft or relevant software, subcontractor register, plan printer, MS Office, and relevant software.
Operational Delivery:
- Assist with Oversee the assessment of tender projects.
- Assist with Review the preparation and presentation of Bill of Quantities.
- Assist with Check pricing and coding of projects.
- Assist with Review of comparison and analysis of Subcontractor pricing.
- Assist with Managing the draft of project preliminaries.
- Assist with Finalise Tender price and assist in submission.
- Assist in the preparation of subcontract tender packages and review received quotes with the Project Manager and Estimator
- Assist in preparing progress claims, delay claims, external variations, etc.
- Assist in the administration and finalisation of subcontracts.
- Assist in the administration of Accounts and – authorise payments as required check pending lists and process invoices.
- Assist in checking & processing of all subcontractor claims & creditor invoices.
- Assist in the preparation of site safety plans, safety etc and administration of the Project OHS System
- Assist in the preparation and administration of the project and tender registers and assist Office manager in updating the register and obtaining client sign-off when defects are completed.
- Assist in the compilation of As Built drawings and manuals prior to and following practical completion.
- Assist in the archiving of the project.
- Must be responsible for issuing Purchase Orders and managing the process involved with staff and suppliers.
- Must assist with ordering of material from suppliers and drop off/pick up to site when required.
- Must be responsible to re-direct outlook mail to designated person/s i.e. Accounts enquiries, Potential Quote requests/Tenders, Meeting invites, detailed enquiries.
- Co-ordinating Site staff on a weekly basis and daily (if required to fit in 1-day invasive works schedule), liaising with clients for booking in works and staff required.
- Chasing staff Xero time sheets and manual time sheets on a weekly basis, this includes sending reminders for submitting invoices in time for payroll (Wednesdays).
- Responsible for the Diary management of General Manager – Ensuring the weekly schedule is up to date with appointments/ site inspections, sending meeting invites for any upcoming appointments.
- Liasing with Strata Managers/Owners to arrange site inspection access and day/times as needed.
Preparation
- Assist with Prepare, check, and review job files for handover.
- Assist with Prepare, check and review of project budgets for review.
- Assist in the preparation of construction variation Works if required to maximise company benefit.
- Assist with the Preparation, review, interpretation, and submission of cost plans with minimal documentation.
Leadership:
- Assist with Supervision and motivation of team to meet company standards.
- Encourage teamwork by ensuring co-operation across teams and sharing of accurate information with daily reports and photos.
- Maintain and continue to develop personal knowledge in area of expertise.
- Seeking out personal feedback and constructive criticism
- Undertake performance review with manager and commit and act on objectives to further career and strengthen skills.
Requirements:
- Qualification in building or working towards
- Experience in Construction, preferably remedial;
- CA experience
- Outstanding communication skills;
- Demonstrated experience in WHS and compliance;
- An Australian Drivers licence
