What You'll Do: We have an opportunity for a Coal Quality & Planning Engineer to join the Technical Services team at Curragh. In this key role, you will be accountable for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of weekly coal flow schedules. Your role will involve aligning mine plans and processing capability with the overarching coal sales and product strategy of the business. Reporting to the Superintendent Coal Quality & Planning, the keys to success in this role include:Ensure the Coal Flow plan's accuracy by reconciling actual mining activities with the plan upon the completion of relevant periods.Develop the Weekly Coal Flow plan in accordance with the weekly mining plan and supervise the short-term scheduling, as well as the release of Daily Mining and Processing plans.Conduct routine pit visits to monitor coal exposure in accordance with the weekly mine plan.Effectively communicate production plans and pinpoint critical risks and opportunities to all pertinent stakeholders through effective communication channels.Foster engagement and collaboration with the site geology team to optimise coal resource utilization and proactively identify and resolve Coal Quality risks and opportunities.Inform stakeholders promptly of significant deviations from production plans as they occur during execution.Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure that optimal value is consistently achieved by considering processing efficiencies and price realisation.Support the site's Coal Quality reconciliation process.Collaborate closely with the processing and operations teams to optimise all wash events.Proactively build positive working relationships through teamwork and mutual respect.What You'll Bring:Tertiary Qualification in Geology and/or Mining EngineeringDemonstrated experience in an Open Cut coal mine in a production/operations environmentExperience using VulcanCommercial acumen and analytical skillsYour Growth and Well-being: At Coronado Curragh, we are committed to your ongoing professional development and well-being.
