About the Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Cogeneration Superintendent plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of boiler operations within the manufacturing sector and will provide effective leadership and supervision to our cogeneration team. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to workplace health and safety standards, and a focus on environmental sustainability.
The preferred candidate should possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Applied Science or Sugar Technology (preferred). Trades qualifications will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years knowledge and understanding of industrial processing
- Demonstrated safety leadership skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a Production and / or Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a team, develop employees and identify improvement opportunities.
- Problem solving, proactive and energetic approach.
- Ability to work a mixture of shift and day work during the crush
About You
- Experience in and knowledge of environmental management systems and processes (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with boilers, steam turbines and power generation plant
- Knowledge and experience in the operation of a raw sugar manufacturing process
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
- Working understanding and knowledge of industrial operations software (SCADA)
