Job description:

We are looking for Production Superintendentto join our Burton Mine Complex, on a permanent full-time basis, 8/6 day shift only roster. As a key member of senior leadership team you will play an integral role in influencing the project's safety and production outcomes. You will have a strong focus on supervision of all mining and earth moving equipment, and lead safe and effective production teams, as well as drive continuous improvement principles.

Reporting to the Project Manager your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Ensuring continuous maximisation of coal recovery and minimising grade dilution during the mining process
• Maintain a high-level of safety awareness of all employees and contractors
• Managing the production on site by optimising plans, methods, equipment, schedules, and expenditure
• Ensure ongoing effective people management of the crew by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development for employees through training and skills development
• Complying with safety policies and procedures.
• Communicating with the workforce regarding compliance to plans and production targets and communicating variances to those targets.

Profile description:

As an experienced Production Superintendent you will ideally possess:

• Front line leadership, and S1,2,3, G2 qualifications.
• 5-10 years experience in an open cut coal mining leadership position
• Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour
• Effective people management and development experience and skills
• Strong organisational, communication and planning skills
• Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.
• Experience working for a medium to large mine operator desirable
• Ability to commit to an 8 / 6 Roster
