Our client is a boutique collections company based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne. They are looking for a Collections Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
the Role:
We are currently looking for a high performing full time Collections officer to join our team. We are looking for someone who is proactive, capable and motivated to work autonomously and within a successful team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact debtors via phone calls, emails, letters, or other communication channels to discuss overdue accounts and negotiate repayment plans.
- Conduct thorough investigations into the status of outstanding debts, including reviewing account records, payment history, and any relevant documentation.
- Work with debtors to establish feasible repayment arrangements based on their financial situation, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
- Offer assistance and guidance to debtors who may be experiencing financial difficulties, providing information on available payment options and resources.
- Address any disputes or discrepancies regarding debts promptly and professionally, working to find satisfactory resolutions for both the debtor and the creditor.
- Update debtor account information and payment statuses
- Communicate effectively with clients and legal representatives, to provide updates on debt collection efforts, discuss strategies for recovering outstanding debts, and address any concerns or inquiries they may have.
