The Role
Marcellin College, a leading Catholic boy's school, presents an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on an on-going, full-time basis commencing mid August 2024.
This is an opportunity to to work in an autonomous role with responsibility for all key areas of nursing at the College.
Key Success Factors
As a member of our Student Services Team, the College Nurse oversees and responds to the day to day medical needs of staff and students in the College and supports their ongoing well-being.
The College Nurse carries out both clinical and administrative responsibilities in fulfilling this role. Reporting directly to the Director of Operation and Logistics, the College Nurse works collaboratively on a day to day basis with all members of College staff with particular close association with the Deputy Principals, Learning Leaders, House Leaders, Pastoral Leaders and the Wellbeing Team.
To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary nursing experience as well as:
- A commitment to Catholic ethos and Marist spirituality
- Current registration with the AHPRA and relevant post graduate qualifications
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, and high-level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop supportive relationships with students, staff and parents
- An ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information appropriately
- An ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team
- Highly developed organisational, ICT and problem solving skills
- Current WWCC and Police Check
