We are seeking a Part Time College Nurse to care for the physical, emotional and well-being of our students, and provide support during after-school sport. The College Nurse role will involve, but not be limited to, caring for our students on a day-to-day basis, assisting public health with immunisations, and attending sporting events and other school functions.

- Bachelor Degree in Nursing and minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Qualified Registered Nurse, registered with Australian Hospital Practitioners Regulation Agency
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Able to make decisions based on good clinical judgement and assessment
- Liaise with relevant staff in relation to students’ medical conditions
- Ability to be flexible with working hours when required.
- Enter student illness/injury into computer software
- Competent computer skills
- Maintain infection control standards
- Maintain safety, quality and confidentiality standards
- Nursing experience in a similar environment eg School, Emergency, Paediatric Mental Health
- Strong work ethic
- Experience in Sports medicine
- Experience with SEQTA and Consent2Go computer hardware system or ability to learn these systems
- Excellent customer service skills, team player
- An understanding and interest in Adolescent Mental Health and Wellbeing
The successful applicant will also have a warm and welcoming disposition, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to work well autonomously and in a team, flexibility, creativity and excellent attention to detail. The applicant must also be supportive of the Catholic ethos and the Presentation traditions and practices of the College.
