What you will be doing:

  • Work on a Part Time/Casual basis, where you will provide face to face teaching in your area of expertise, Mental Health, Primary Health, over 8 days to a cohort of Diploma of Nursing students.
  • Connect face to face with students to train the cohort and deliver courses and content in your area of expertise - Wound Management.
  • Mark assessments and assist students practical assessments.
  • Work with a team of experienced educators, collaborating, sharing knowledge and skills in a cross-cultural environment delivering and assessing students enrolled in the Diploma of Nursing.
  • Be able to share your knowledge and experience with the next generation of nurses.
About you:
As well as being friendly and passionate about education as we, are you will need the following to ensure your success in the role:
  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelors/Masters in Nursing. 
  • Have experience in training and educating in the VET sector.
  • We require a Registered Nurse with a minimum 5 years post graduate recent clinical experience specialising in Wound Management and preferably a post graduate qualification in Mental Health or Primary Health Management.   
  • A current certificate IV in Training and Assessment is an advantage but not a necessity.
  • Be able to deliver customised training in your specialist area of practice.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training materials in accordance with Australian Skills Quality Authority requirements.
  • Have great attention for detail will be needed in marking assessments and students practical assessments.
