Hays are proud to partner with Tasports in their search for a Commercial Analyst to join their Launceston finance team on a permanent full time basis. This role presents an opportunity to bring ideas and innovation, make a significant impact and help shape the future in an organisation that plays a vital role in supporting Tasmania’s economic prosperity. Reporting into the Manager – Commercial Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include: To ensure effective and compliant delivery of procurement, insurance and internal financial assurance activities for TasPorts and its subsidiaries, including delivering Corporate Services improvement projects.

Contribute to holistic cross-functional business assurance & governance capability through undertaking some or all of the following activities: Perform leading role in providing strategic insights and high-quality solutions to deliver procurement benefits, insurance outcomes, process and system enhancements and effective internal governance. Ongoing contributions to identity, develop, lead and monitor continuous improvement opportunities for the Corporate Services function. Seek to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity Support finance, administration and procurement related aspects of a internal audit activities

Other project work as required What you'll need to succeed As the ideal Candidate, you will have a demonstrated background within a similar role in a commercial or financial environment as well as: Desire to make a difference and help shape the future for a critical Tasmanian organisation Ability to develop strong internal stakeholder relationships and be an effective team member A customer service focus and continuous improvement mindset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with h igh level of attention to detail Experience liaising with both internal or external audit Ability to work with minimal supervision, be self-reliant and results orientated
