Position Overview: Based in their Newcastle office, Commercial Finance Manager will play a crucial role in providing financial leadership and strategic support to industrial operations. You will be responsible for driving financial performance, managing financial planning and analysis, and supporting key business decisions. This role requires a proactive and analytical finance professional with a strong commercial acumen and experience in the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process for the division, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and drive operational performance.
- Collaborate with senior management and operational teams to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Support the evaluation and execution of business development opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.
- Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, Commercial Finance, or business partnering in the industrial sector.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
