My client is a successful property developer and property asset manager with an excellent reputation in their space.
We have an opening for a Commercial Finance Manager working across all areas of the business. The purpose of this role is to provide commercial & analytical support to the different business unit General Managers and ELT. This is an ideal role for a candidate with Property related commercial & analytical experience to join a growing, profitable developer & asset manager.
The Challenge
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership and continuous improvement of complex reporting tools, models, templates, processes, and controls.
- Ownership of Excel portfolio model
- Business partner through to GM level across the various business units.
- Strategic analysis and commercial input with regards to property development, new deal feasibilities, operations, contractual arrangements, business cases and value-add opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of investment proposals.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of financial strategies.
- Evaluate and manage project and business risks and opportunities with a view to optimising business outcomes.
- Participate in project reviews based on defined periodic and lifecycle milestones (e.g. Monthly, quarterly, annual + project milestone reviews).
- Assist in business forecasting, particularly capital management.
- Assist with periodic and ad-hoc management reporting.
The successful candidate will likely be;
- In the mid-stages of their career,
- Likely have started in a Big 4 or similar firm in a Deals, Transactions or Real Estate Advisory team.
- May have also begun their career in a graduate program at a large, reputable property developer.
- Have proven experience in commercial analysis roles within the Property/Real Estate or adjacent sectors.
- Strong financial modelling ability.
- Desire to gain experience in the full transaction process beyond just modelling. You’ll want to develop key relationships in the property industry and to build a career in this space.
- Articulate and confident, you can present complex information concisely.
