Job Description
Reporting to the GM Finance, the Commercial Finance Manager will partner with the NRMA Parks & Resorts leadership team to provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic and operational decision making, and drive opportunities for commercial growth and operational effectiveness. You will have primary responsibility for all aspects of the planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting cycle. You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial models for evaluation of investment opportunities and resource allocation, and the management and development of the business’s KPI infrastructure to facilitate performance monitoring against plans and strategic objectives.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Lead, develop and inspire your team, to create a high performing, engaged and customer-centric culture
- Lead and develop the divisions’s annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Produce high quality management reports, including variance analysis and insightful commentary, to support decision making
- Monitor financial performance against budget, forecast, and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimisation
- Drive process improvements and enhancements to streamline financial planning and analysis processes, increase efficiency, and ensure data accuracy
- Supporting the development of long-term organizational strategy and business plans, and provide recommendations and analysis to maximise ROCE
- Prepare detailed financial models and business cases to evaluate investment opportunities and resource allocation, including acquisitions, divestments, and capital expenditure
- Assessing, monitoring and ongoing reporting on projects including but not limited to master planning, capital works planning, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions
- Provide business partner support to Senior Leadership team for strategic decision making, including financial guidance, scenario analysis and recommendations as required.
What you will bring:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a commercial environment, of which some time has been spent in strategic business partnering Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce or Accounting
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Extensive knowledge of BI, and ERP Accounting Systems. Netsuite and TM1 preferred
- Relevant experience in an accommodation and hospitality businesses
- Experience in leading and managing high performing teams
- Strategic stakeholder engagement
- The ability to develop strong relationships with operational and corporate teams
- Experienced in working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
